Notice!
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be unable to provide Ketamine infusions during our normal business hours on Monday and Wednesdays.
Starting December 1st, we will try to accommodate our patients, by providing infusions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 3 pm, 3:30 pm and 4 pm. Some weeks, particularly holiday weeks, we will be closed all together secondary to staffing limitations.
Please bear in mind that Dr. Jones will be coming from another facility, once she has finished there for the day. We will have the nurse anesthetist get our patients set up in the procedure room until Dr. Jones arrives.
As it stands, these days and hours are subject to change. We hope that you understand. If you need a booster infusion or are just initiating therapy, please call to schedule your treatment.
Thank you so much!
The Delaware Valley Wellness Center Team.

The Delaware Valley Wellness Team
Dr. Angela Jones has recently been named a Top Doctor by NJ Top Docs for 2019 and 2020!
The exceptional team at Delaware Valley Wellness Center in Voorhees, NJ, Philadelphia, PA and Delaware, specializes in providing ketamine infusion, one of today’s most innovative and effective treatments for patients suffering from major depressive disorder, treatment-resistant depression, suicidal thoughts, and anxiety disorders. Ketamine is also used to treat depression and anxiety caused by other mental health disorders, including PTSD, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
Led by Angela Jones, MD, the medical director of Delaware Valley Wellness Center, the team of certified nurse anesthetists and board-certified anesthesiologists has extensive experience evaluating patients and administering intravenous (IV) ketamine infusions.
Patients who are interested in receiving ketamine therapy are screened for depression using the PHQ-9 questionnaire, which is validated by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, the National Institutes of Health, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Psychological Society. Patients can take a short questionnaire online and submit it to the team. Following a screening interview over the phone, an appointment is scheduled for qualified candidates.
The team at Delaware Valley Wellness Center recognizes that ketamine infusion is only one part of comprehensive treatment for mental health conditions. They keep each patient’s mental health provider up-to-date and coordinate care as needed. Call the office or take the first step and complete the questionnaire to start your journey toward healing and wellness.

Recent data suggest that ketamine, given intravenously, might be the most important breakthrough in antidepressant treatment in decades.”

Ketamine Success
There is often a 70-80% success rate with this protocol. Some patients even report a decrease in their depressive feelings often within hours after the first dose!
Overall, most patients find the infusion process to be pleasant and non-threatening. If they become too uncomfortable, our anesthesia providers are right there to stop the infusion immediately and give other medicines to reverse these feelings as needed. This however seldom happens. A very small percentage of patients can have some of these temporary feelings or even vivid dreams once they are back at home. These too are usually self limited.
THE SCIENCE BEHIND KETAMINE THERAPY
Early ketamine researcher, Carlos Zarate says, “It (depression) affects the neurons themselves. A healthy neuron will look like a tree in spring; you have branches, you have leaves. What happens in depression is there’s a shriveling in these branches, these leaves, and it looks like a tree in winter. A drug like Ketamine, makes the tree look like the one in spring.”
